On Aeaea

Circe needs to get back in contact with the world. What did she miss while she was "dead"? What was going on in the lives of Amazon, God, and mortal alike? What became of her allies?

But most importantly, where was her daughter, Lyta. That was all that mattered.

She's already got everything she needs ready. Holding a jug of fresh water, she pours it into the rock basin.

"Show me Lyta," she demands of the bowl.

Nothing. Of course. Damn Ares to Tartarus and back.

Circe grins, not defeated just yet. There are other ways to get what she wants.

"Show me Themyscira," she says.

The island of her enemies, the Amazons, comes slowly into view. She scans it for any sign of her daughter, for of Wonder Woman, as there is a chance that Lyta might be with her.

No sign of Lyta...or of Wonder Woman for that matter.

Circe curses.

Then she stumbles upon the image of two Amazons talking amongst each other. She can make out what they're saying perfectly.

Where's Diana? Where's our sister and leader?

Circe smirks, finding this quite interesting. It isn't like the Princess to leave her home and not tell anyone.

Unless...

Circe waves her arm and a multitude of images begin to flash across the basin. Themyscira...disapearing into the mists...Diana and her little Wonder-brats searching for it frantically.

Circe chuckles to herself.

This gives her an idea.

Above Midway City

Minutes later, Circe is in the air above Midway City, where she was certain that Diana would be. After all, this is her second home.

She lands, ready to put her plan into motion.

A wave of her arm and a lightning blot strikes and empty car. Another wave and a row of street lamps burst into flames. An innocent bystander becomes a stone statue.

Circe grins mischievously. She'll return everything back to normal eventually...

But Wonder Woman doesn't need to know that.

She's Baaaack

Along the River Stxy

Circe opened her eyes and grinned.

Did they really believe that they could kill her? Did Aphrodite, that sorry excuse for a Goddess, really believe that she would stay dead for long?

She shook her head, poor, poor, pitiful fools. It was quite sad really.

Circe looked around and wrinkled her nose in disgust. The Underworld. A most dismal place if there ever was one. She didn't plan on staying here long. She had work to do. Those Amazon whores still had Lyta. Lyta, her daughter, the one soul that she truly loved and cared about. She had to get her daughter back to her.

And Aphrodite, that ignorant slut. She was the one that put her in this place to begin with. Circe had all sorts of fun things planned for that one later on.

But, revenge, for the moment, had to wait. First, she had to get out of the Underworld. Goddess or not, she was still considered to be among the deceased.

No matter. Nothing a little deal with her old friend Hades couldn't settle.

Circe climbed into a boat and gave Charon double the wage the passengers to the Underworld were normally supposed to give him.

"That's for the return trip," she said, "So don't say that I didn't pay you." She narrowed her eyes at the ferryman, "And make it quick, I don't have all day."

After all, she had work to do.
